Murray Upton

Chief Executive Officer

Murray was appointed CEO of The OSCAR Foundation in 2005 and has led the organisation through significant changes and developments during that time. Murray has an MBA from Otago University and has had the very rare opportunity to have worked in senior executive roles in Corporate, Government, NGO and the Not-for-Profit sectors.
Amongst his achievements, Murray has restructured, renamed and rebranded the organisation, has constantly worked with the OSCAR sector to increase levels of professionalism, has led the implementation of Te Korowai Kounga, the Foundation’s Quality Assurance System launched in 2010.  Above all, he has worked towards instilling the Foundation’s vision of ‘Enriching Childhood’ and the OSCAR sector as a career of choice.
