Nominations
Nominations are now open for the OSCAR Awards 2008. Nominations are welcome from anyone including parents, work colleagues, OSCAR programmes and schools. Self-nominations are accepted.
To nominate an individual, organisation or programme, complete the nomination form and post it to The OSCAR Foundation, PO Box 41 983, Victoria Street West, Auckland, 1142 along with the information to support your nomination.
Supporting Information
Nominations must be supported by no less than 250 words telling the judges why the person or organisation you are nominating deserves the OSCAR Award you are nominating them for. Be sure to read through the awards categories to help you and use examples to demonstrate how they meet the criteria.
Important Dates
 Regional OSCAR Awards
- Nominations open Monday 5 May 2008
- Nominations close Monday 23 June 2008 *Extended Closing Date*
- Winners will be notified and announced in early August
- Winners will be awarded at The OSCAR Foundation Network Meetings in Term 3
National OSCAR Awards
- Voting opens Monday 18 August 2008 (for members of The OSCAR Foundation only)
- Voting closes on Friday 12 September 2008
- Winners will be notified in October 2008
- Winners will be awarded at The OSCAR Foundation Awards Dinner on Saturday 18 October 2008 during the National Conference in Auckland
Supreme OSCAR Award
- The winner will be awarded at The OSCAR Foundation Awards Dinner on Saturday 18 October 2008 during the National Conference in Auckland.
Terms & Conditions
No employees or contractors of The OSCAR Foundation may be nominated or nominate in the OSCAR Awards. Winners of the Regional OSCAR Awards may not be awarded in each category. All persons nominated must be over 16 years of age and be eligible to work in New Zealand. The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. All nominees must be willing to take part in any publicity connected with The OSCAR Foundation OSCAR Awards. All nominees must consent to their profile and photo being published on our website.
