Family Award*
This award is to recognise an OSCAR programme that is thoroughly focused on the families of their OSCAR children.

This programme will have a well developed relationship with families that includes everything from a great induction process for new families, ongoing communication, ongoing consultation, inclusion into both the daily running of and special events, a programme that refl ects the needs and wants of these families and being able to demonstrate how they enrich the lives of children.

Best New Programme Award*
This award is to recognise an outstanding OSCAR programme who has been operating for less than two years.

This programme can show a well thought out programme designed with input from the community and potential users, demonstrate how they enrich the lives of children, have developed supportive relationships with both children and families as well as the OSCAR sector and community in which they operate and most importantly run a quality, inclusive, responsive, innovative and creative OSCAR programme.

Outstanding OSCAR Programme Award*
This award is to recognise an OSCAR programme who has demonstrated overall excellence.

This programme can show how they enrich the lives of children, have empowered and dedicated team of staff , have well developed supportive relationships with both children and families as well as the OSCAR Sector and community in which they operate and most importantly run a quality, inclusive, responsive, innovative and creative OSCAR programme making it “the place to be”!

Organisation Award
This award is to recognise contributions to OSCAR by an organisation that does not, itself provide OSCAR services. The recipient of this award will be an organisation with a demonstrated record of support for OSCAR. This can be a one off major contribution or a regular contribution or service that delivers tangible results in enriching the lives of children. This organisation can be nominated by an OSCAR programme who benefi ts from this contribution or by the organisation itself.

Youth Award
This award is to recognise someone aged between 16-21 years old who has shown a commitment to the OSCAR sector.

This individual will be able to demonstrate that they are child focused, a valued team member, can show initiative and is a professional who has developed great relationships with children, families and staff alike. They must also demonstrate how they enrich the lives of children.

Individual Award
This award is to recognise someone with a long term professional approach to working in the OSCAR sector.

This individual will show a commitment to professional development, and quality improvement as well as being a valuable team member, contributing to the delivery of their innovative and creative programme, having well developed relationships with children and their families and being able to demonstrate how they enrich the lives of children.

 

*All nominations in the Family, Best New Programme and Outstanding OSCAR Programme categories must have current Child, Youth and Family Approval for OSCAR Services.
