The OSCAR Foundation Conference was held at the Christchurch Convention Centre in Christchurch on the 16th – 18th March 2007 with a theme of We Are Family – He Whanau Matou. This was the first time the conference was held in the South Island, and with 381 delegates from 158 different organisations, it was a very successful weekend. The feedback we received from delegates was extremely positive and we are very pleased to be able to provide such a valuable weekend for OSCAR providers.
If you were unable to attend this years Conference, be sure to read the summary to see what you missed out on. Once you read this you will definitely want to attend the next Conference in 2008. Also, have a look at some of the photos taken throughout the weekend to see how much fun delegates were having. We have introduced a new feature to our website - a forum. We would like to invite you to share your experiences, thoughts and comments about this years conference if you attended.
The OSCAR Foundation would like to thank all delegates who supported the OSCAR Foundation 2007 National Conference. We would also like to thank our guest speakers, Robyn Monro-Miller, Michèle A'Court and Tawera Nikau, as well as all of the workshop presenters for their excellent workshops.
A big thank you also to our supporters
