OSCAR Week

OSCAR Week provides a nationwide opportunity for OSCAR programmes to celebrate all that is great about OSCAR.

Background Of OSCAR Week
It was established in 1998 and initially only ran for one week. But for both before and after school programmes, and holiday programmes to enjoy it by participating in all the activities provided, it was extended to cover two weeks.

What Is OSCAR Week?
OSCAR Week provides OSCAR Programmes with a wide range of benefits. These include:

  • Themed activity ideas which you can be used in your OSCAR programme,
  • An art competition for your children to enter,
  • Giving OSCAR programmes opportunities to promote yourself to your community,
  • Allowing OSCAR programmes to connect with your community in lots of fun and exciting ways,
  • Helping programmes develop a sense of ‘belonging’ to our wonderful OSCAR sector,
  • Ensuring OSCAR programmes have loads of fun.

Take part in OSCAR Week, and demonstrate to the community the important role OSCAR has. You will be promoting your own programme throughout your community, and this can help your OSCAR programme attract new enrolments and extra support.
