Child, Youth And Family Approval For OSCAR Services
OSCAR programmes can choose to become Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Approved for OSCAR Services. As an Approved provider, they meet a series of minimum operating standards.
Legal OSCAR Requirements There are no mandatory legal requirements for OSCAR programmes to meet any childcare regulations or standards of care in New Zealand. With no licensing requirements or regulations covering OSCAR services, it is especially important for parents and caregivers to check that their child is receiving safe, quality care.
CYF OSCAR Standards Many OSCAR programmes are approved by the Department of Child, Youth and Family (CYF). This means that they have chosen to meet a series of minimum operating standards.
