OSCAR Subsidy - Work And Income
Families can apply for an OSCAR Subsidy from Work and Income for their child to attend an OSCAR programme.
Eligibility The subsidy is means tested and your child needs to be attending a service that has CYF Approval for OSCAR Services.
Payment of the OSCAR Subsidy is available to:
- Families where the principal caregiver is seriously ill or disabled and has a need for childcare for a dependent child for more than three hours per week;
- Families where the principal caregiver is caring for a dependent child who is in hospital or in receipt of Child Disability Allowance;
- Families providing care for children aged 14 years and over who are in receipt of Child Disability Allowance.
